Job Description:
The Senior Business Systems Analyst (BSA) will serve as a strategic partner to HR and IT, bridging business process expertise with enterprise systems capabilities. This role requires deep functional knowledge of HR processes combined with strong technical expertise in Workday and ServiceNow.
The Senior BSA will lead requirements gathering, solution design, system optimization, and implementation efforts across HR systems, ensuring scalable, compliant, and employee-centric solutions. This individual will act as a trusted advisor to HR stakeholders and drive continuous improvement across the HR technology landscape. The role will be of a systems solution expert for identifying, analyzing, refining, translating, and finally documenting business requirements from ISI business teams.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Business & Functional Leadership
- Partner with HR Centers of Excellence (HR Operations, Talent, Compensation, Benefits, Payroll, etc.) to understand business needs and translate them into scalable system solutions.
- Analyze current-state HR processes and conduct fit-gap analysis for Workday and ServiceNow capabilities.
- Design future-state HR workflows aligned to best practices and system capabilities.
- Lead business process workshops and facilitate stakeholder discussions.
- Identify opportunities for automation, standardization, and improved employee experience.
Workday Expertise
- Lead configuration, enhancement, and support across relevant Workday modules (Core HCM, Business Process Framework, Security, Reporting, Integrations).
- Support Workday releases, upgrades, and regression testing.
- Partner on integrations between Workday and downstream/upstream systems.
- Develop functional specifications and collaborate with integration developers.
- Support data integrity, reporting requirements, and HR analytics initiatives.
ServiceNow (HRSD) Expertise
- Lead configuration and optimization of ServiceNow HR Service Delivery (HRSD), Employee Center, Case Management, and Lifecycle Events.
- Drive workflow design and automation initiatives.
- Support dynamic translation and multilingual employee experience where applicable.
- Partner with ServiceNow developers and architects to deliver scalable HR solutions.
- Ensure governance and best practices are followed across platform enhancements.
Cross-Platform & Integration
- Define and document system integrations between Workday and ServiceNow.
- Ensure data consistency and process alignment across HR systems.
- Partner with IT architecture and security teams to maintain system integrity.
Testing, Change Management & Support
- Lead unit testing, integration testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Develop training materials and support end-user enablement.
- Provide production support and issue resolution.
- Follow established change management and release governance processes.
- Analyze system changes for downstream impact across the enterprise landscape.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, HR, or related field.
- 7+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or HRIS Analyst.
- 3+ years hands-on experience with Workday HCM.
- 3+ years hands-on experience with ServiceNow HR Service Delivery (HRSD).

- Experience with HR system integrations and data governance.
- Strong experience in business process analysis and documentation.
- Experience gathering requirements and building detailed functional design specifications.
- Strong reporting and analytics mindset (Workday reporting, dashboards).
- Excellent communication skills with ability to influence HR and IT stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Workday certification(s) (HCM, Integrations, Security, etc.).
- ServiceNow HRSD certification.
- Experience implementing global HR systems (multi-country).
- Experience with dynamic translation and multilingual employee portals.
- Familiarity with SOX controls and HR data privacy regulations.
