Our client, a leading software company, is seeking a People Operations Specialist serves as a key point of contact for employees regarding HR-related inquiries, including employment matters, onboarding, offboarding, and general HR processes. This role partners cross-functionally to ensure the effective delivery of people services and supports the execution of critical People Operations initiatives.
**Please note this is a remote, 7-month contract role based in Redwood City, CA. Pay will be $28-$30/hr.**
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate weekly new hire onboarding, including first-day orientation, completion of employment documentation, and maintenance of personnel files and I-9 records for U.S., Canada, and LATAM employees.
- Present benefits and payroll information during new hire orientation sessions.
- Provide support for contingent workers and partner populations.
- Conduct monthly audits to ensure compliance and data accuracy.
- Manage E-Verify processes and support international employee transfers.
- Participate in company-wide HR initiatives and cross-functional projects as needed.
- Support the implementation of People strategies aligned with business growth and organizational objectives.
- Provide day-to-day employee relations guidance and support.
- Maintain accurate employee records, including data entry and updates within Workday.
Qualifications:
- 1–2 years of experience in Human Resources or a related field, with a demonstrated interest in People Operations.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent analytical skills, including the ability to assess and resolve employee support scenarios.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with Workday is highly preferred.
- Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
