Workday HCM Consultant - 6 months Project
Hale International is partnering with a leading healthcare organization seeking a Workday HCM Consultant with strong security expertise to support their internal HRIS team.
This consultant will step in to backfill a departing analyst while also supporting the organization’s Workday Payroll implementation, currently in late testing stages.
This is a high-priority engagement with immediate impact, supporting both project delivery and ongoing production support across Workday HCM.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Workday Payroll project, currently in late testing phases ahead of go-live.
- Review and maintain Workday security configuration, including security groups and domain access.
- Validate security setups to ensure proper access, segregation of duties, and compliance.
- Provide configuration support across Workday HCM modules, including Compensation and general HCM functionality.
- Assist with production support, including ticket resolution, troubleshooting, and minor enhancements.
- Act as a security point of contact for payroll-related Workday functionality.
- Collaborate with HRIS leadership and stakeholders to ensure system stability during a critical project phase.
- Provide guidance on best practices for Workday security design and governance.
Qualifications
- Strong hands-on Workday HCM configuration experience.
- Proven experience working with Workday Security, including:
- Domain security policies
- Security group configuration
- Security validation and testing
- Experience supporting Workday environments in production (tickets, break/fix, enhancements).
- Ability to operate independently and manage work in a fast-paced project environment.
- Strong attention to detail when working with sensitive security configurations.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with HRIS teams and executive stakeholders.
Preferred Experience
- Exposure to Workday Payroll security.
- Experience supporting Compensation configuration.
- Familiarity with Workday reporting within HCM.
- Experience in healthcare, research, or highly regulated environments.
- Knowledge of PeopleSoft payroll or iCIMS is beneficial but not required.
- Experience working in environments with grant funding or costing allocations.
