The Opportunity
We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Director of Workday Financials to lead our global digital transformation. You will be the primary architect of our Workday FINS roadmap, overseeing the end-to-end implementation from initial design through go-live and post-production support. This is a high-visibility role that sits at the intersection of Finance, IT, and Business Operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Implementation Leadership: Serve as the Project Lead for the Workday Financials rollout, including Core FINS, Procurement, Expense, Assets, and Financial Reporting.
- Strategic Roadmapping: Define the long-term vision for the ERP ecosystem, ensuring scalability for global operations.
- Stakeholder Management: Partner with Executive Leadership (CFO, Controller, CIO) to align system capabilities with business requirements.
- Team Building: Manage internal analysts and external implementation partners/consultants to ensure milestones are met on time and within budget.
- Process Optimization: Standardizing global business processes and eliminating legacy manual workarounds.
- Data Governance: Oversee data conversion strategies, ensuring integrity and security across all financial modules.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: 8+ years in Financial Systems, with at least 2 full-lifecycle Workday Financials implementations in a leadership capacity.
- Technical Depth: Deep knowledge of Workday FINS architecture, FDM (Foundation Data Model) design, and integration touchpoints with Payroll or HCM.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Information Systems. (CPA or MBA is a plus).
- NYC Presence: Ability to work from our Manhattan office 3 days per week to facilitate whiteboarding sessions and team collaboration.

- Change Management: A proven track record of helping teams transition from legacy ERPs (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) to Workday.
- Agile Mindset: Ability to pivot quickly when business requirements shift.
