Title: Sr Payroll Manager – Global Payroll, Workday, Compliance

About the role
Seeking an experienced payroll leader to oversee complex global payroll operations across U.S. and international environments. This role will drive payroll accuracy, compliance, vendor governance, and process optimization while partnering cross-functionally with Finance, Tax, Legal, and compensation teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end global payroll operations across multi-state, multi-entity U.S. payroll and international payroll cycles
- Manage payroll governance including bi-weekly, monthly, off-cycle processing, compliance controls, and audit readiness
- Oversee external payroll vendors and outsourced payroll delivery, ensuring service quality and issue resolution
- Support equity payroll, year-end tax activities, reconciliations, and jurisdictional filings
- Partner on expatriate, shadow payroll, and global mobility payroll processes
- Drive process improvements, automation, Workday reporting, and payroll data integrity
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 8+ years of progressive payroll experience, including global payroll operations
- Deep hands-on expertise with Workday Payroll
- Strong experience with multi-state, multi-entity U.S. payroll compliance
- Experience managing outsourced global payroll vendors
- Knowledge of SOX compliance, expatriate payroll, shadow payroll, and equity payroll processes
Compensation (MA Pay Transparency):
- Estimated hourly range: $75–$80/hr (W-2).
- Final rate within this range will be based on skills, experience, and interview results.
