About the Opportunity
Our client, a top-performing multi-strategy investment firm, is seeking a Compensation Analyst to join a fast-paced, collaborative compensation accounting team. This high-impact position offers significant exposure to senior management, including direct interaction with the CFO, and involvement in compensation and benefits across both US and international entities. The role supports monthly accruals, compensation projections, and Portfolio Manager payout calculations, and acts as the bridge across trading, HR, and finance teams. Job Responsibilities
- Prepare and reconcile Portfolio Manager payout calculations for annual compensation and bonus processes
- Deliver monthly compensation reporting and analytics for senior leadership, with a focus on client service and actionable insights
- Oversee monthly accrual and reconciliation processes for compensation and related expenses across the firm’s international offices
- Collaborate with internal teams including Fund Accounting, Management Company Accounting, FP&A, Recruiting, and Technology to streamline reconciliations and reporting
- Partner closely with HR and Legal to interpret employment agreements, analyze and reconcile payroll, and ensure compliance
- Contribute to strategic projects and process improvement efforts to enhance efficiency and transparency within compensation accounting
- Play an active role in technology initiatives for automating processes and implementing new compensation tools
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CPA track is a plus
- 2-6 years of experience in finance, accounting, audit, advisory, or banking; compensation accounting exposure preferred but not required
- Exceptional analytical skills, attention to detail, and organizational abilities
- Advanced Excel capabilities and professional experience handling large, complex datasets
- Team-oriented and collaborative mindset, with a strong commitment to client service
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively interface with senior stakeholders
- Comfortable working in a high-energy, fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
- Familiarity with AI or data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI) advantageous
- High level of initiative, adaptability, and eagerness to learn and take on new challenges
- Experience with Workday Human Capital or Financials is a plus
The annual base salary range is up to $150,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
