Senior Workday Analyst
Reports to: HR Technology Lead
Location: New York City (Hybrid - 3 days on site)
Compensation: $50-$60 per hour
Contract Duration: 12+ months
A leading global organization is seeking a Senior Workday Analyst to support and enhance its Workday platform, with a primary focus on Core HCM.
This role will play a critical part in maintaining system integrity, supporting day-to-day operations, and delivering enhancements across the Workday landscape. The ideal candidate brings strong configuration experience, a collaborative mindset, and a passion for continuous improvement within a global HR technology environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day support and administration of Workday, with a focus on Core HCM
- Configure and maintain business processes, security roles, domains, and system settings
- Lead and support enhancement initiatives, including automation, UX improvements, and reporting optimization
- Partner with HR and Technology stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver scalable solutions
- Support Workday releases, including testing, impact analysis, and deployment
- Troubleshoot system issues, data discrepancies, and user queries
- Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and calculated fields
- Support data loads, tenant management, and integration testing activities
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce manual effort, and enhance governance
- Maintain clear documentation for configurations, processes, and system changes
Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on Workday experience
- Strong functional expertise in Core HCM, Business Process Framework, and Reporting
- Experience supporting both BAU operations and enhancement initiatives
- Solid understanding of Workday security (domains, roles, segmentation, governance)
- Proven ability to troubleshoot issues and support a production environment
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience supporting Workday releases and regression testing
