Senior Workday HCM & Compensation Consultant
Location: Chicago, IL; Dallas, TX; or Philadelphia, PA (additional locations may also be considered) - hybrid 50%
We're seeking an experienced, client-focused Senior Workday HCM & Compensation Consultant to join a growing consulting team delivering enterprise Workday HCM solutions. Key Responsibilities
Partner with clients to understand business requirements and translate them into effective Workday HCM and Compensation solutions.
Configure, test, and deploy Workday HCM and Compensation functionality.
Lead client workshops to gather requirements, document business processes, and define solution designs.
Perform fit-gap analyses and recommend scalable Workday solutions aligned with business needs.
Provide guidance on Workday best practices and optimization opportunities.
Design and develop Workday reports, dashboards, and analytics.
Collaborate with data conversion teams to support legacy data migration into Workday.
Partner with integration teams to support mapping, testing, and deployment of integrations with third-party systems.
Support testing activities, including test strategy, script creation, execution, and issue resolution.
Deliver end-user training and assist with organizational change management efforts.
Troubleshoot implementation and post-go-live issues while ensuring a high-quality client experience.
Stay current on Workday releases and emerging functionality.
Contribute to internal process improvements, implementation methodologies, and knowledge sharing.
Support business development efforts through solution demonstrations, proposal development, and client presentations as needed.
Qualifications
3+ years of Workday consulting experience with a strong focus on Workday HCM and Compensation.
Experience leading or co-leading at least two full lifecycle Workday Compensation implementations.
Hands-on configuration experience across multiple phases of Workday deployments, including initial implementations, Phase X, and optimization projects.
Experience collaborating across data conversion, integrations, reporting, testing, and functional workstreams.
Prior consulting or client-facing implementation experience.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Knowledge of Workday security, including role-based security configuration.
Ability to build strong client relationships while managing multiple priorities in a collaborative environment.
