Akkodis is seeking a Workday Integration Engineer for a contract role with a client located in Phoenix, AZ (Remote)
Pay Rate: $59/hr. -$60/hr. (Hourly wage may be negotiable based upon experience, education, geographic location, and other factors)
Location: Phoenix, AZ
Duration: 6 months to start, potential to extend
Role Overview
About the Role
We are looking for a skilled Workday Integrations Engineer to design, build, and maintain enterprise-grade integrations. You will partner with HR, Payroll, Finance, and IT stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions using the full Workday integration toolset.
What You'll Do
Design, develop, and deploy integrations using EIB, Core Connectors, Workday Studio, and Workday Extend/Orchestration.
Build and maintain inbound/outbound integrations with third-party vendors, payroll processors, and internal systems.
Troubleshoot failures, perform root cause analysis, and implement fixes.
Manage deployment across development, sandbox, and production environments.
Partner with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices and security standards.
Document designs, data mappings, and technical specifications.
Support Workday releases and participate in an on-call rotation.
What You Bring
Required: Expert-level proficiency in Workday Studio (XSLT, custom logic), EIB, Core Connectors, and Workday Extend/Orchestration.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in XSLT, XML, JSON, and web services (REST/SOAP); strong understanding of Workday data models and calculated fields.
Security: Experience with ISU setup, OAuth, and certificate management.
Nice to Have: Functional knowledge of Workday Payroll, Time Tracking, and HCM modules (Benefits, Compensation, Talent).
Must-Have Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with Workday Integrations.
- Solid Workday Extend development experience.
- Experience with Workday Orchestrate / Orchestration.
- Strong understanding of Workday integration architecture.
- Ability to independently build, troubleshoot, and support integrations.
Nice to Have
- Functional exposure to Payroll and Time Tracking.
- Ability to join functional discussions only when technical input is needed.
