Senior Workday Consultant – CORE COMPENSATION focused
Location: Remote but Atlanta, GA preferred
Duration: 6-12 month contract with perm conversion if local to ATL
Compensation: $40-45hr W2
We are seeking a Workday (Compensation) Consultant to support major enterprise-wide compensation initiatives within a global organization. This role will play a critical part in redesigning compensation structures, standardizing job profiles across multiple brands, and supporting a multi-year roadmap of transformation work.
This is a high-impact role with visibility across the organization, including work on incentive redesign, job architecture alignment, and potential Workday configuration enhancements.
Technical Expertise
- Workday Compensation: Deep configuration and administration expertise across Core and Advanced Compensation.
- Workday Tools: Proficiency with calculated fields, EIBs, Mass Operation Management (MOM), and report writing.
- Cross-Module Knowledge: Understanding of how Workday modules work together—HCM, Absence, Benefits, Compensation, Payroll, Talent Management, Recruiting, Onboarding, and Time Tracking. Exposure to U.S. and Canada payroll processes is a plus.
- Core HCM: Proven experience configuring Core HCM for U.S.-based organizations.
- Integrations: Solid understanding of interfaces with third-party platforms and vendors.
- Productivity Tools: Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel formulas and Visio.
Workday Configuration & Compensation
- Configure and maintain Workday Core HCM, with a strong focus on compensation structures (70% functional / 30% technical)
- Design and support:
- Compensation plans, grade profiles, and job frameworks
- Merit matrices, bonus structures, and incentive programs
- Support ongoing compensation transformation initiatives across a 12–24 month roadmap
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of HRIS experience
- 3+ years of hands-on Workday Core HCM configuration (required)
- STRONG Workday experience with Workday Compensation (Core and Advanced) configuration and administration for a US-based global organization Experience supporting a U.S.-based global organization
- Ability to work in a functional + technical hybrid role (70/30 split)
- Comfortable working in a ticketing / support + project-based environment
- Exposure to: Payroll integrations (U.S./Canada)
