Duties
- Process payroll accurately and efficiently using systems such as Workday, ADP, Paychex, UltiPro, Kronos, Ceridian, or other supported payroll software.
- Ensure compliance with employment and labor laws, tax regulations, and company policies related to payroll and benefits administration.
- Reconcile payroll data with accounting records, including general ledger entries, accounts payable and receivable, and benefits accounts.
- Maintain confidential employee information with the utmost discretion while handling sensitive payroll data.
- Prepare detailed reports on payroll activities, tax filings, and labor law compliance for internal review and audits.
- Collaborate with Human Resources and finance teams to ensure accurate time & attendance tracking via integrated HRIS or time management systems.
- Support payroll system upgrades or troubleshooting efforts by providing technical expertise on payroll software such as Workday or Kronos.
Skills
- Extensive experience with payroll systems including Workday, ADP, Paychex, UltiPro, Kronos, Ceridian, or similar platforms.
- Strong knowledge of employment law, tax law, labor law compliance, and related regulations affecting payroll processing.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks or other financial management tools; familiarity with non-profit or governmental accounting is a plus.
- Skilled in spreadsheet applications like Excel for data entry, analysis, reconciliation, and reporting purposes.
- Solid understanding of accounting concepts including double entry bookkeeping, journal entries, debits & credits, general ledger reconciliation.
- Ability to handle confidential information responsibly while maintaining accuracy in data entry and recordkeeping.
- Excellent analysis skills to identify discrepancies or errors in payroll data and resolve issues promptly.

Pay: $25.51 - $30.72 per hour
