Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Human Resources Payroll Coordinator to join our team. Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing using systems such as Workday, ADP, Paychex, UltiPro, Kronos, PeopleSoft, Ceridian, and other supported payroll platforms.
- Ensure compliance with employment law, labor law regulations, and tax requirements related to payroll and benefits administration.
- Maintain accurate employee records within HRIS systems, including data entry, updates, and audits to guarantee data integrity.
- Reconcile payroll accounts through detailed analysis of spreadsheets, general ledger entries, and accounting software like QuickBooks or other financial tools.
- Process payroll taxes, deductions, benefits contributions, and prepare reports for internal review and external agencies.
- Collaborate with the finance team on accounts payable/receivable related to payroll expenses and benefits payments.
- Handle confidential information with discretion while supporting payroll management tasks such as journal entries and account reconciliation.
- Assist with time & attendance systems integration and troubleshooting to ensure precise tracking of hours worked.
- Stay current on changes in tax law, labor law compliance, and HR regulations affecting payroll operations.
Skills
- Proficiency in HRIS platforms such as Workday, ADP, UltiPro, Kronos, PeopleSoft or Ceridian for effective data management.
- Strong knowledge of payroll systems (technically supported), payroll processing procedures, and tax law compliance.
- Experience with accounting software including QuickBooks; familiarity with general ledger accounting and bookkeeping practices.
- Excellent analysis skills for account reconciliation and financial reporting; ability to interpret complex data accurately.
- Skilled in spreadsheets (Excel) for data entry, analysis, and reporting; capable of handling 10-key typing efficiently.
- Understanding of employment & labor law as it pertains to payroll processing; ability to ensure legal compliance across all transactions.
- Ability to handle confidential information securely while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with benefits administration processes and non-profit or governmental accounting is a plus.
