BASIC SCOPE/PURPOSE
Summary:
The Director, B2B Solutions Vertical is responsible for defining and executing the enterprise strategy for the organization's Business-to-Business (B2B) fulfillment capabilities across all distribution operations. This executive leader serves as the organization's foremost subject matter expert for B2B logistics, retail compliance, and omnichannel distribution while driving operational excellence, customer satisfaction, scalable growth, and profitability.
This role partners closely with Executive Leadership, Sales, Solutions Design, Engineering, Information Technology, Finance, Product Management, Client Success, and Operations to design innovative supply chain solutions that differentiate the organization in the marketplace. The Director owns the B2B operating model, develops best-in-class capabilities, leads strategic customer initiatives, and ensures operational readiness for complex distribution programs supporting retailers, manufacturers, wholesalers, and ecommerce brands.
The Director champions continuous improvement, digital transformation, automation, and data-driven decision making while building organizational capabilities that position the company as an industry leader in third-party logistics (3PL) B2B fulfillment.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Enterprise B2B Strategy & Vertical Leadership
· Develop and own the enterprise strategy, vision, and roadmap for the B2B Solutions Vertical.
· Establish standardized operating models, governance, KPIs, and best practices across all B2B distribution operations.
· Identify emerging industry trends and market opportunities.
· Serve as the executive authority for B2B operational capabilities.
Commercial Strategy & Business Development
· Partner with Sales and Solutions Design during RFPs and customer pursuits.
· Lead operational solution development, pricing assumptions, labor models, and implementation strategies.
· Participate in executive customer presentations.
· Support profitable growth and new business acquisition.
Retail & Omnichannel Supply Chain Excellence
· Lead enterprise retail compliance strategies including OTIF, ASN accuracy, routing guide compliance, inventory accuracy, vendor scorecards, and chargeback reduction.
· Develop standardized wholesale, retail replenishment, ecommerce, and omnichannel operating models.
· Drive continuous improvement in customer experience and operational performance.
Operational Excellence & Transformation
· Lead Lean initiatives, labor optimization, quality, safety, and productivity improvements.
· Stanardize processes across the enterprise.
· Develop enterprise KPI dashboards.
Technology & Digital Innovation
· Lead WMS, OMS, TMS, ERP, EDI, automation, robotics, AI analytics, and BI strategy.
· Evaluate emerging technologies that improve scalability and profitability.
Customer Experience & Executive Relationships
· Serve as executive sponsor for strategic customers.
· Lead QBRs and executive operational reviews.
· Drive Voice of Customer initiatives.
Financial Performance
· Drive profitability through operational excellence and cost optimization.
· Partner with Finance on budgets, ROI, and capital planning.
· Monitor EBITDA, cost-to-serve, labor productivity, and customer profitability.
Leadership & Organizational Development
· Develop high-performing leaders through coaching and succession planning.
· Lead enterprise change initiatives.
· Build a culture of innovation and accountability.
Qualifications / Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree; MBA preferred.
Required:
· 12+ years of progressive supply chain or 3PL leadership.
· 7+ years leading multi-site B2B fulfillment.
· Fortune 500 retail or omnichannel experience preferred.
· Executive customer engagement and transformation leadership.

Work Environment:
Professional office and distribution center environment.
Travel:
Approximately 30–40% travel to customer locations, distribution centers, and industry events.

Pay: $130,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
