Our client, a consulting firm, is seeking a Benefits Manager to join its People team in New York City. This individual contributor role will serve as the primary owner of the organization's U.S. benefits programs, overseeing benefit strategy, vendor and broker relationships, open enrollment, compliance, leave administration, and daily benefits operations while partnering closely with senior leadership, payroll, finance, and HR stakeholders. The ideal candidate is a hands-on benefits professional with strong strategic influence, deep technical expertise, and the ability to independently manage a comprehensive benefits function in a fast-paced professional services environment. - Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field, required.
- 6+ years of progressive benefits administration or total rewards experience, required.
- Experience leading open enrollment, benefits renewals, vendor management, and broker relationships, required.
- Strong knowledge of ERISA, COBRA, ACA, HIPAA, HSA/HDHP regulations, and benefits compliance frameworks, required.
- Experience managing leave of absence programs and day-to-day benefits operations, required.
- Prior experience partnering with senior leadership and influencing benefits strategy, required.
- Experience supporting multi-state benefits programs, required.
- Professional services, consulting, financial services, or similar corporate environment experience, preferred.
- Proficiency with HRIS platforms such as Workday and ADP, preferred.
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, required.
- Strong communication skills, executive presence, attention to detail, and ability to work autonomously, required.
The salary for this role is $125K-$140K.
Compensation is commensurate with experience.
