Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Payroll Specialist to join our dynamic finance team. Responsibilities
- Process payroll accurately and efficiently using various payroll systems such as Workday, ADP, Paychex, Ceridian, UltiPro, Kronos, and PeopleSoft.
- Ensure compliance with employment and labor laws, tax regulations, and company policies related to payroll and benefits administration.
- Reconcile payroll data through detailed analysis of spreadsheets, general ledger accounts, and accounting software to maintain data integrity.
- Handle confidential information with discretion while managing payroll tax filings, employee wage adjustments, and benefits administration.
- Collaborate with HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) to update employee records and ensure seamless integration across HR and payroll platforms.
- Assist in accounts payable processes related to payroll expenses and support governmental reporting requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of time & attendance using integrated time & attendance systems such as Kronos or UltiPro for precise payroll processing.
Requirements
- Proven experience with payroll management within a corporate accounting environment or similar setting.
- Strong proficiency in payroll systems including Workday, ADP, Paychex, Kronos, UltiPro, PeopleSoft, Ceridian, or comparable platforms.
- Solid understanding of employment & labor law, tax law, and financial concepts related to payroll processing.
- Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information confidentially while ensuring compliance with legal standards.
- Excellent skills in spreadsheets (Excel), data entry (10-key typing), account reconciliation, and double-entry bookkeeping.
- Knowledge of accounting software such as QuickBooks or other financial software used for payroll and general ledger reconciliation.
- Ability to analyze data accurately and communicate findings effectively across teams.
- Experience with benefits administration, non-profit accounting (if applicable), accounts receivable/payable processes, and governmental accounting is a plus.

Pay: $26.07 - $31.39 per hour
