Job Summary:
As an HRIS Manager you will have full functional responsibility for the strategy, optimization, enhancement, and maintenance of the company’s HR Information System (Workday) in addition to other systems supported by the HR Operations.
This role will partner with internal and external business stakeholders to increase business efficiency and automate business processes through various HR technologies. Although this role does not have direct reports at this time, the functional manager will serve as a mentor and leader to other colleagues.
This technical role requires excellent knowledge of business processes and methodologies along with a strong analytical background. The candidate will have direct hands-on experience in process design, configuration, implementation, and reporting. This role should also provide thought-leadership around the HR technology roadmap, both short and long term goals, that drive a simple yet powerful HR technology experience.
Job Description
Strategy:
- Continually identify opportunities to enhance processes and optimize technology to ensure simple yet powerful user experience and performance for HR technology systems.
- Research and minimize problems and pain points.
- Stay abreast of new improvements to the technology by partnering with vendors to understand roadmaps and release upgrades.
- Participate actively in the Workday community and serve as the Workday advocate for the organization.
Development:
- Perform functional configurations for core HCM and supporting modules including but not limited to, Compensation, Benefits, Recruiting, Integration, and Performance.
- Partner closely with stakeholders to gather and define the needs of business customers (requirements), evaluating options, design and implement solutions, change management and user adoption.
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders to create, edit and prepare reports, analytics and dashboards.
Collaboration:
- Assist with broadening internal knowledge of Workday through hands-on training to HRIS and other support teams.
- Serve as a mentor and functional leader to HR Operations (and other People & Culture colleagues) to grow and develop Workday expertise and build internal bench strength.
- Identify opportunities to create training and knowledge base materials and deliver training.
Maintenance:
- Provide end-user troubleshooting, issue remediation, technology request assistance and escalation management.
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of organizational data within the HRIS systems, including regularly scheduled data audit and clean up initiatives.
- Troubleshoot and resolve integration errors as needed
- Prepare, test, and process EIBs in support of various business needs.
- Manage security roles and permissions to best meet the ongoing and changing needs of the business.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years hands on experience supporting, administering or configuring Workday across multiple modules with 7 years cumulative experience in HR, IT or other business analyst function.
- Excellent interpersonal, collaboration, analytical and complex problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Must be a skilled communicator, with well-developed listening, verbal, written and presentation ability.
- Strong prioritizing, project management, planning and organization skills with the ability to serve multiple customers effectively.
- Experience with advanced reporting, analytics and BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker) is a plus.
- Have a “Roll up your sleeves” attitude and adaptability skills in a fast-paced, virtual environment.
