Accredited Veterans Disability Claims Agent (Remote)
This role requires current VA accreditation as a claims agent and current external VBMS access. Applications without both will not be considered.
The Law Offices of Eric A. Shore is seeking an experienced VA-accredited claims agent to lead the day-to-day work of our Veterans Disability practice. This is a fully remote, senior position for someone who already knows VA disability law and can step into an active practice with a short ramp-up.

The Role
You will handle a caseload of VA disability matters and provide day-to-day direction to experienced legal assistants and case managers on claim development, evidence gathering, and deadlines. You will work closely with firm leadership and will have meaningful input into how the practice operates. Attorney oversight of the department is provided by the firm.
What You Will Do
- Handle and oversee VA disability claims and appeals as an accredited representative
- Develop strategy for Supplemental Claims, Higher-Level Reviews, and appeals to the Board of Veterans' Appeals
- Review C-files, medical evidence, service records, and rating decisions
- Identify the evidence and arguments needed to develop strong cases
- Work extensively in VBMS, VA.gov, Caseflow, and other VA systems
- Provide day-to-day direction, training, and mentoring to the Veterans Disability support team
- Track and meet VA deadlines and procedural requirements across the caseload
- Work with firm leadership to improve procedures, technology, efficiency, and client service
What We Require
- Current VA accreditation as a claims agent
- Current external VBMS access as an accredited claimant representative
- Significant recent experience handling VA disability claims and appeals
- Strong working knowledge of the VA claims and appeals process
- Experience with Supplemental Claims, Higher-Level Reviews, and Board appeals
- Experience reviewing C-files and developing medical and legal evidence
- Strong writing, judgment, organization, and communication skills
- Ability to guide a remote team while carrying substantive case work
- Ability to step into an active practice and begin contributing quickly
Especially Valuable Experience
- Current or recent Veterans Disability work in private practice or with a VSO
- Experience leading or training a VA claims team
- Social Security Disability experience, including work as an appointed representative
- Experience with Salesforce, Litify, or another legal case management platform
A True Remote Role
This is a fully remote position with no routine office attendance requirement. You may work from anywhere in the United States. Because you will guide a team, we need someone who communicates well, is accessible during the workday, and knows how to keep remote work moving.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
