Benefits Analyst. This role will administer, analyze, and optimize US employee benefits programs to ensure compliance, cost-effectiveness, and alignment with organizational goals.

About The Role
The
Benefits Analyst is responsible for the administration and evaluation of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, disability coverage, leave programs and wellness initiatives. Their duties typically include:
- Analyzing benefits data to assess utilization, cost-effectiveness, and competitiveness of programs
- Designing and recommending benefits programs based on market trends, employee needs, and organizational objectives
- Ensuring regulatory compliance with federal, state, and local laws, including ERISA, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA, and ADA
- Managing vendor invoices with insurance carriers, brokers, and third-party administrators
- Administering benefits enrollment and claims processes, including leave-of-absence and workers’ compensation coordination
- Preparing communication materials and conducting employee briefings to explain benefits programs and policy changes and responding to employee inquiries
- Conducting audits and reporting to ensure accuracy, compliance, and cost management
Required Skills And Qualifications
- A successful Benefits Analyst typically possesses:
- Strong analytical skills to interpret complex benefits data and model cost scenarios
- Attention to detail for accurate calculations and compliance tracking
- Proficiency with HRIS, payroll and benefits administration software such as UKG, ADP, or Workday
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with employees, HR teams, and vendors
- Knowledge of benefits laws and regulations to maintain compliance and anticipate legislative changes
- Ability to work collaboratively with HR, finance, and management teams to implement strategic benefits initiatives

Benefits Analysts typically work in an office setting, with some opportunities for remote work and occasional travel for vendor consultations or team meetings.
