Job Title: Workday Integrations, Reporting, and Technical Lead
Client: State of Rhode Island, Department of Administration (DOA)

Duration: 6-month contract – Extensions Possible

The Workday Integrations, Reporting, and Technical Lead is a senior technical role supporting the implementation and ongoing management of Workday Finance, HCM, and Payroll for the State of Rhode Island. The position serves as the subject matter expert for integrations, reporting, analytics, security administration, and data governance, ensuring reliable data delivery, high-quality reporting, and secure system operations.
Requirements
- 5+ years advanced experience with the Workday application to include advanced reporting proficiency.
- 5+ years of advanced experience in Workday Integrations working on large Workday initiatives.
- 5+ years of advanced experience with Workday Studio (minimum of 10 Studio integrations), Report Writer, Calculated fields, Workday Extend, CCB, BIRT, EIBs, Core Connectors, Integration System User (ISU), Integration System Security Group (ISSG)
- 5+ years of hands-on experience configuring, developing and testing on the Workday platform (Proficient with Integrations, Integration Security, Workday Studio, Cloud Connect, XML, XSLT, SOAP and Rest APIs)
- 5+ years Finance data analysis experience, including the ability to understand business requirements, user needs and translate them into operational requirements.
- 3+ years experience with Workday Prism Analytics.
- Deep Workday Reporting expertise using BIRT, dashboards, embedded analytics, EIBs, Core Connectors, Studio integrations and composite reporting.
- 3+ years of experience with Workday security in relation to reporting.
- Experience with JSON, SOAP & REST style web services
- Solid understanding of Workday's business object model and relationships
- Understanding of Workday functional modules so that you can create technology connections (i.e., Finance, HCM, Talent Management, Benefits, Time Tracking, Absence, Payroll)
- Strong analytical skills, proven experience understanding and effectively implementing Workday integrations across all Workday modules.
- 3+ years of experience within Agile Scrum methodology
- Strong expertise in project management, business analysis, gathering and documenting requirements.
- Strong attention to detail, problem solving, troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle both planned and unplanned responsibilities.
- Ability to prioritize workload and execute tasks independently, providing timely follow-up and resolution.
- Prior experience in Government Workday and/or Oracle implementations
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar position supporting Workday Integrations or Workday Security or Workday Extend and possessing a technical development background.
- Advanced skills in Workday Studio, API(s), NotePad++, Oxygen XML or XML, and XSLT and interaction with SOAP and ReST based web services, EIB, Core Connectors, reporting, use of RaaS, Integration Security, Calculated Fields and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Advanced skills in applying Role-based and User-Based Security and Domains.
- Advanced business and Workday systems analysis skills.
- Discipline to work with highly confidential information and ability to critically analyze data input/output for accuracy and effectiveness.
Preferred
- Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Workday certifications a plus.
- Workday implementations in a government organization.
- Workday Extend and Orchestrate skills are strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of supporting Workday Finance and associated business owners preferred.
