Job Description
- Responsible for Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) set up and maintenance, optimization, reporting, testing, troubleshooting, process improvements, data integrity, system security and year-end support.
- Support system integrations to ensure proper controls, while recommending and establishing new controls as needed.
- Lead or support specific modules within the HRIS system for the region, ensuring configurations meet both global and regional requirements.
- Interprets business requirements into specifications for HRIS applications and interfaces.
- Designs and maintains codes and tables, prepares reports for Human Resources systems and applications, investigates and analyzes systems to resolve any complex and large-scale issues.
- Executes internal processes, develops and performs audits to ensure integrity of all systems.
- Collaborates with functional users to develop all business processes for various human resources systems and provides support to all associated activities.
- Designs and runs complex queries, resolves queries and ensures accuracy, prepares business documents and provides upgrades.
- Executes and/or monitors all scheduled import/export interfaces and files to third party vendors.
- Tests and implements file feeds and interfaces for any add-on technology to our HRIS as needed.
- Audits and reviews changes within HRIS to ensure proper controls and separation of duties and assist in establishing new controls, as needed.
- Aids in coordinating system and security administration for multiple HRIS/Payroll related systems as needed.
- Develops and conducts a robust training program to new users, provide end-user support and assistance to the respective HRIS module or system you support.
- Works with external vendors and other service providers to ensure the efficient, accurate, and timely exchange of information.
- Actively participate in the continuous digitization of HR processes, including identifying automation opportunities and optimization initiatives.
- Ensures the HRIS system(s) adhere to regional regulatory requirements and organizational policies.
- Performs additional duties, works on special projects, and collaborates with HRIS team as needed and assigned.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelors degree (B. S. ) or equivalent required. PHR a plus PMP a plus.
- Work Experience: Three to five years of experience within the HRIS and project arenas to include a proven ability to improve internal processes, and upgrade current technologies.
- Knowledge of HRIS, management reporting and payroll processes within an UltiPro environment required.
- Must have demonstrated expertise in Workday HRIS, payroll and business processes with ability to take ownership of overall HRIS systems and process.
- Reporting and business intelligence (Cognos 8) experience including systems set up and organization as well as ongoing reporting to meet business needs.
- General overall knowledge and experience within Human Resources (e. g. compensation and benefits) with demonstrated ability to apply technical solutions to solve business problems in an effective manner, preferred.
- Strong organizational skills, project management experience, time management skills, excellent attention to detail, ability to maintain confidential information and ability to work well in a team environment
- Technical Skills: Ability to take initiative and be self-motivated.
- Knowledge of information technology and compensation best practices Strong analytical skills.
- Excellent spreadsheet, database, and presentation software skills.
- Ability to interact effectively with all levels and operation units of the organization.
- Attention to detail and ability to provide fast turnaround when needed In depth knowledge of Workday Backoffice and . Net versions.
- Strong knowledge of Cognos 8/Business Intelligence report writing (i. e. report studio, query studio, dashboards, event studio, bursting)
- Working knowledge of both United States and Canada HR practices, benefits, and retirement programs, preferred Language / Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills - correspondence to internal and external customers.
- Ability to communicate effectively with individuals possessing varying degrees of technical and functional knowledge.
- Proven teamwork with ability to work with team members across all corporate functions.

Required Skills
- This position has to have a sound understanding of Workday as an admin, as well as some experience with HR/Payroll.
- The challenge is that they are getting people who are too IT-heavy, or to HR-heavy with no configuration experience).
- There are issues in Worday that require configuration to be fixed because the system has not been kept up.
- Once we move fully off UltiPro, this individual will service Workday, so they will be cross-trained (this usually excites people because Workday shops are so hard to get in to to learn).
- Reporting is big too.
- Experience of any version of Cognos/IBM reporting or reportsmith.
- JIRA/SNOW or a Ticketing system is highly desirable.
