We are seeking an experienced HRIS Analyst with strong Workday expertise to support and enhance our HR technology environment. This role partners closely with HR, Payroll, Benefits, IT, and Operations to ensure the integrity, security, and effectiveness of our HR systems.
About the Role
The HRIS Analyst is responsible for the administration, configuration, maintenance, and optimization of Workday and related HR systems. This position ensures the integrity of HR data, maintains system security, supports business process administration, coordinates production migrations, and assists with mergers and acquisitions (M&A) integration activities.
The HRIS Analyst serves as a subject matter expert for HR technology, partnering with stakeholders across the organization to provide technical support, reporting, system enhancements, and training while ensuring compliance with organizational policies and applicable regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Workday Administration & Security
- Administer Workday security roles, permissions, and access controls.
- Configure, maintain, and optimize Workday business processes.
- Perform security audits and support organizational changes, acquisitions, and workforce transitions.
- Maintain system documentation and governance standards.
Reporting, Analytics & Data Integrity
- Maintain employee data and ensure data accuracy through audits and validation.
- Develop and distribute Workday reports, dashboards, and workforce analytics.
- Support PATT and other people analytics initiatives.
- Analyze trends and recommend process improvements.
System Enhancements & Production Support
- Coordinate production migrations, releases, patches, and system enhancements.
- Develop and execute testing strategies for system updates.
- Troubleshoot system issues and provide technical support to end users.
- Identify opportunities to improve system functionality and user experience.
M&A Integration & User Support
- Support acquisitions and organizational transitions through data conversion and system integration activities.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to onboard acquired organizations into Workday.
- Conduct HRIS training and develop user documentation and job aids.
- Serve as a Workday subject matter expert for HR and business stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5-7 years of HRIS experience, including at least 5 years of Workday administration experience.
- Experience with Workday security administration, business process configuration, and reporting.
- Experience supporting system implementations, migrations, testing, and release management.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and project management skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across HR, Payroll, Benefits, Finance, IT, and Operations teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Workday Pro certifications.
- Experience supporting mergers and acquisitions or large-scale organizational transitions.
- Healthcare, post-acute care, or multi-site organization experience.
- Experience with Workday HCM, Security, Time Tracking, Compensation, Benefits, and Payroll
