Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Bookkeeper to join our team. In this vital role, you will manage day-to-day accounting tasks, ensure accurate financial record-keeping, and support the organization’s financial health. Your expertise in various accounting software and systems will help maintain compliance with accounting standards and facilitate smooth financial operations. This part-time role will be a key contributor to the team in both day-to-day operations and keeping the leadership team current on the financial performance of the Company.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Record and process all financial transactions using accounting software
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections
- Prepare journal entries, account analysis, and double-entry bookkeeping to maintain balanced ledgers
- Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger accounting to ensure accuracy of financial data
- Reconcile balance sheets and perform account reconciliation to verify the integrity of financial statements
- Process payroll accurately while adhering to payroll processing standards and regulations
- Generate detailed financial reports, including statements aligned with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), for internal review and external reporting
- Manage integrations of all relevant software
- Manage reporting and compliance with state and federal agencies, including sales tax, excise tax, and general compliance
- File relevant paperwork for annual business licenses
Job Qualifications:
- 3+ years of relevant work experience in bookkeeping or accounting
- Familiarity with payroll processing procedures and AR/AP management
- Proficient with relevant accounting software (QuickBooks, etc.)
- High proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Organized and detail oriented
- Meet time-sensitive deadlines
- Strong communication skills
Schedule
- Part-time, 16-hours / week
- Can be flexible on scheduling time within standard 9am-5pm workday
Compensation & Benefits
- $28 - $32 / hour based on experience
- Paid time off based on time worked
