Overview:
We’re looking for a Sr. Technical Business Analyst to join our team on a W2 contract basis. This is a fully remote role, open to candidates located in the Eastern or Central time zones who are authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
The Sr. Technical Business Analyst will be working closely with the Software development team to create technical requirements for the first stage of an enterprise-wide Workday implementation. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in ambiguity, can self-start with minimal handholding, and has the technical acumen to work closely with Scrum teams in transforming business needs into actionable user stories and requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with stakeholders and subject matter experts to elicit, analyze, and refine requirements.
- Translate high-level business problems into detailed technical requirements and user stories for development teams.
- Act as a liaison between business and technical teams, ensuring alignment on priorities and expectations.
- Collaborate with Scrum teams to define features, break down work, and manage the backlog.
- Drive clarity and decision-making around scope and feasibility.
- Proactively identify gaps and work independently to research, document, and clarify requirements.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies: sprint planning, backlog grooming, reviews, and retrospectives.
Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience as a Technical Business Analyst in a software development environment.
- Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum practices and tools (e.g., JIRA, Azure DevOps).
- Ability to write clear, concise, and technically detailed user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Comfortable working independently to gather and validate requirements with limited upfront guidance.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including developers, testers, architects, and business leaders.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Technical background or experience working closely with engineering teams is a strong plus.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with Workday implementations highly desired.
- Experience with enterprise systems or large-scale application development.
- Familiarity with API integrations, data mapping, or cloud technologies.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $55.00 - $65.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
