Role Summary
The State Accounting Office (SAO) is seeking an accomplished Senior Workday Solution Architect with deep expertise in Workday Financials to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of enterprise ERP solutions. This role requires hands-on technical leadership, strong functional knowledge of Workday Finance modules, and the ability to align solutions with organizational goals across higher education, public sector, healthcare, and not-for-profit environments.

Key Responsibilities
Workday Financials Leadership
• Facilitate requirements confirmation, perform gap analysis, and recommend solution options
• Architect scalable Workday Financials solutions aligned with business and compliance needs
• Design and implement modules including Core Financials, Banking & Settlements, Accounting Center, Revenue Management, Contracts-to-Cash, Record-to-Report, Procure-to-Pay, Grants, and Projects
• Optimize Grants Management (Pre/Post-Award, Effort Certification, Subawards, Salary Cap, Award Budgets)
• Partner with implementation vendors on integrations using Workday Studio, EIB, BIRT, REST/SOAP APIs, Prism Analytics
• Design and implement Workday Extend solutions to address functional gaps
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP and federal grant regulations
• Design security frameworks, FDM structures, and data governance strategies
• Lead ERP migrations from legacy systems (e.g., PeopleSoft to Workday)
• Implement automated workflows (Payroll Reconciliation, Revenue Recognition, Expense Processing, Subaward Tracking)
• Guide advanced reporting, dashboards, and analytics using Prism Analytics and Extend

Required Qualifications
• Active Workday Financials certifications (valid through 2025 R1), including Core Financials, Banking & Settlements, Revenue Management, Grants, Accounting Center, Contracts-to-Cash
• 10+ years ERP experience, with 7+ years focused on Workday Financials
• Advanced expertise with Workday integrations (Studio, EIB, BIRT, REST/SOAP APIs)
• Proven experience with US GAAP and federal grants compliance
