Workday Solution Architect / Workday Subject Matter Expert (SME) REMOTE USA
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Workday Solution Architect / SME to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of Workday solutions across HCM / Financials modules. The ideal candidate will act as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders, providing end-to-end architectural guidance and ensuring best practices are followed throughout the Workday lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a Workday Solution Architect / Subject Matter Expert across Workday HCM and/or Financials modules.
- Lead end-to-end Workday implementations, including requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support.
- Translate complex business requirements into scalable Workday solution designs.
- Provide architectural oversight for integrations using Workday Studio, EIBs, Core Connectors, Cloud Connect, APIs, and middleware.
- Partner with business stakeholders, HR, Finance, and IT teams to ensure solutions align with organizational goals.
- Guide best practices around Workday security, data model, reporting, and integrations.
- Support upgrades, enhancements, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Mentor junior consultants and provide design reviews and technical guidance.
- Participate in stakeholder discussions, solution walkthroughs, and executive-level presentations.
Required Qualifications:
- 8+ years of overall HRIS / ERP experience with 5+ years of hands-on Workday experience.
- Proven experience as a Workday Solution Architect or Workday SME.
- Strong expertise in one or more modules:
Workday HCM, Financials, Payroll, Time Tracking, Benefits. - Solid experience with Workday integrations (Studio, EIB, Core Connector, Cloud Connect).
- Experience delivering full lifecycle / end-to-end Workday implementations.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work independently and lead design decisions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Workday certifications (HCM, Financials, Integration, Studio).
- Experience with large enterprise or multi-country implementations.
- Knowledge of Workday security, Prism Analytics, reporting, and data governance.
- Prior consulting or system integrator experience.
