Business Manager Role Overview
GEICO is seeking a data-driven Business Manager to support the People Group Chief of Staff. In this role, you will report directly to the People Group (PG) Chief of Staff and work closely with the PG Leadership Team and other key partners. Your primary responsibility will be to drive operational rigor by leveraging advanced data analysis and process improvement methodologies. The Chief of Staff team values strong analytical storytelling and the ability to unlock insights from data to inform and elevate business operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive operational and analytical support for both routine and ad-hoc initiatives, with a focus on applying data insights to enhance the People Group's impact and address stakeholder needs.
- Utilize your analytical expertise to deeply explore cross-functional data, identify trends, uncovering root causes, and recommend process improvements and insights that enhance the associate experiences.

Responsibilities
- Aggregate, clean, and synthesize data from multiple sources to identify key trends, patterns, and opportunities for operational improvements, presenting findings through clear and compelling reports and presentations.
- Design and deliver routine and ad-hoc reporting that evaluates the effectiveness of HR processes, with an emphasis on data accuracy, process standardization, and actionable insights.
- Create executive-level presentations that translate complex business and HR analytics into impactful narratives for senior management.
- Conduct in-depth research and benchmarking, leveraging industry data and best practices to inform operational rigor.
- Lead analysis for major HR initiatives—including performance management and workforce planning.
- Champion data clean-up and process standardization projects.
- Support data-related processes such as security and access (ARC process cleanup, Workday tasks/business processes).
- Drive the development and refinement of reporting and analytics dashboards, ensuring data reliability and usability for business decision-making.
- Monitor and test process changes, documenting results and ensuring no overlaps or
- Promote a culture of data stewardship, encouraging best practices in data handling, training, and process compliance across the People Group.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in relevant field (e.g., Human Resources, Business, Operations) and 5+ years of experience in human resources management, process improvement, insurance, business planning, operations management, strategy, program management, or related role(s)
- Proven track record of identifying and implementing improvements that drive operational efficiency and effectiveness
- Strong Excel and MS Office applications skills with ability to create effective PowerPoint presentations and excel analysis at executive-levels
- Effective written and oral communications with ability to story-tell business and human resources analytics and build executive-level reports and presentations
- Can communicate clearly and professionally with partners of all levels including senior executives
- Self-starter with strong collaboration skills, with proven ability to work across organizational and reporting boundaries to get things done
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage competing priorities in fast-paced and ambiguous environment; can adjust priorities, decisions, and actions to respond to multiple demands, unexpected events, and current information daily
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in business management or equivalent role in a complex operations organization that spans multiple US and/or international locations
- Experience working strategically and collaboratively across multiple functions
- Experience in diagnosing pain points for teams, moving them to good, and going the extra mile to ensure they are great
- Ability to smooth out collaboration across groups, challenge decisions, question judgment, and voice concerns
Annual Salary
$121,975.00 - $189,625.00
The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate’s work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.
