Duties
- Manage the end-to-end benefits administration process, including enrollments, changes, terminations, and compliance documentation using systems like Workday, UltiPro, or Oracle HCM.
- Coordinate with insurance providers and vendors to ensure accurate benefits offerings such as health, dental, vision, life insurance, and retirement plans.
- Oversee regulatory reporting requirements related to benefits programs, Medicare, HIPAA compliance, and Workers' Compensation claims.
- Support employee orientation sessions by explaining benefit options clearly and answering questions related to HRIS data collection and payroll integration.
- Assist in negotiating contracts with benefits providers while ensuring adherence to employment law and company policies.
- Conduct data analysis to identify trends in employee benefits utilization and recommend improvements for better engagement.
- Collaborate with payroll teams to ensure accurate deductions and contributions are processed through systems like ADP or Paylocity.
- Maintain comprehensive records of employee benefits transactions, contracts, and compliance documentation within Lawson or SAP SuccessFactors.
- Provide guidance on Human Resources policies related to employee relations, employee evaluation processes, and training & development initiatives.
Requirements
- Proven experience managing benefits administration within HRIS platforms such as Workday, Oracle HCM, Lawson, or UltiPro.
- Strong knowledge of employment & labor law, HIPAA regulations, FMLA leave management, and regulatory reporting standards.
- Familiarity with payroll systems including ADP, Paylocity, Ceridian, or Kronos for seamless data integration.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex benefits concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated negotiation skills when working with insurance carriers and benefit vendors.
- Experience handling Workers' Compensation claims and Medicare-related processes is highly desirable.
- Data collection and analysis skills to support continuous improvement in benefits programs.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
