Business Data Analyst
Location: New York, NY (Hybrid)
We are seeking a highly motivated Business Data Analyst to join a team operating at the intersection of finance and technology. This role will work closely with Finance and executive stakeholders to develop scalable reporting solutions, build data models, and deliver dashboards that provide meaningful insights to business leaders.

Key Responsibilities
- Partner with Finance and business stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and translate them into technical specifications and visual reporting solutions
- Build scalable data models and datasets to support ongoing reporting and analytics needs
- Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI
- Source and integrate data from multiple enterprise systems to support financial and operational reporting
- Automate manual reporting processes and improve self-service BI capabilities for internal users
- Provide training and support to business users on data models, dashboards, and reporting tools
- Ensure data accuracy and reliability through validation checks and quality assurance processes
- Maintain documentation for reporting logic, data models, and reporting standards
- Contribute to governance, best practices, and reporting standards across the organization
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field
- 3–5 years of experience in business intelligence, analytics, or reporting roles
- Strong experience building dashboards and reports using Power BI
- Proficiency with DAX, Power Query, and data modeling
- Experience working with large datasets and enterprise data environments
- Understanding of financial reporting, KPIs, and performance metrics
- Experience working with ERP or financial systems such as Workday, Anaplan, or similar platforms
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Nice to Have
- Experience working within consulting or professional services environments (e.g., Big Four)
- Familiarity with other BI tools such as Qlik
- Exposure to financial systems integrations and reporting automation
