Job Overview
We are seeking a Senior Functional Consultant with deep expertise in Workday Compensation and Talent to support a global organization operating across ~140 countries. This role focuses on hands-on operational support, system configuration, and enhancement of global compensation and talent programs within a complex, evolving environment.
The ideal candidate is a senior individual contributor who can independently manage production support activities, drive process improvements, and provide structure in a fast-changing global Workday environment with limited documentation and ongoing transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Support
- Manage day-to-day Workday Compensation & Talent activities
- Create and maintain Job Profiles, incentive plans, and allowance structures
- Execute salary corrections, mass uploads, and EIB transactions
- Support global compensation cycles including merit, bonus, and equity programs
- Handle country-specific compensation configurations and HR requests
System Configuration & Optimization
- Design and support annual performance, promotion, and talent cycles
- Configure compensation planning programs and reward statements
- Enhance global talent processes such as succession planning and talent reviews
- Build and maintain calculated fields, reports, and functional configurations
Stakeholder Engagement & Documentation
- Develop and maintain operational process documentation
- Partner with HR, Talent Acquisition, Finance, and IT teams
- Translate business needs into scalable Workday solutions
- Ensure consistency, governance, and alignment across regions
Knowledge Sharing & Support
- Provide guidance and cross-training to team members when needed
- Support operational continuity in a globally distributed environment
- Contribute to improving system stability and process maturity
Required Skills & Experience
- 5–7+ years of Workday functional experience in Compensation and Talent
- Strong hands-on experience supporting global Workday environments
- Expertise in:
- Compensation cycles (merit, bonus, equity)
- Talent management programs (performance, succession, development)
- Job profiles, incentive plans, allowances, and EIBs
- Experience in large, complex, global organizations
- Strong reporting and calculated fields experience in Workday
- Ability to work in environments with evolving processes and limited documentation
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $45.00 - $48.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
