Data Entry Specialist
Location: Itasca, IL.
Employment Type: Contract to Direct Hire
Work Schedule: Onsite, Monday through Thursday: 7:30am – 4:00pm
Friday: 7:30am – 3:30pm.
Pay Rate: $20.00-$24.00 per hour DOE

Are you detail-oriented, organized, and thrive in fast-paced environments? We’re seeking a dedicated Data Entry Specialist to become a vital part of a dynamic custom manufacturing team. In this role, you’ll ensure the seamless processing of personalized orders, coordinate communication between clients, vendors, and internal teams, and play a key part in delivering top-quality products. If you have a keen eye for detail, a mechanical aptitude, and enjoy working in a collaborative setting where accuracy matters, this is your chance to shine!
What You'll Need:
- At least 3 years of experience in data or order entry
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Experience with ERP systems is a plus
- Prior work in manufacturing, industrial, or job shop environments highly preferred
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Mechanical aptitude or an understanding of product specifications is beneficial
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Professional, customer-focused communication skills
- Strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with manufacturing or industrial order processes
- Familiarity with vendor negotiations and purchase order workflows
- Basic understanding of product materials, coverings, finishes, or specifications
Preferred Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical or vocational training related to manufacturing or administrative skills is a plus
- Three or more years of relevant order entry or data management experience in similar industries
Other Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, and reach throughout the workday
- Frequent use of hands for fine manipulation
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 40 pounds
- Position primarily involves sitting (about 80%) with some walking (20%)
