Responsibilities
- Process payroll using leading software platforms such as Workday, ADP, Paychex, UltiPro, Kronos, or Ceridian, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Perform detailed data entry and account reconciliation to maintain precise payroll records.
- Manage benefits administration and coordinate with HRIS systems to streamline employee information updates.
- Conduct general ledger reconciliation and prepare journal entries related to payroll transactions.
- Handle tax calculations, deductions, and compliance requirements in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Support non-profit accounting functions including accounts payable and receivable related to payroll activities.
- Analyze payroll data to identify discrepancies or errors and implement corrective actions promptly.
Requirements
- Proven experience with payroll management software such as Workday, ADP, Paychex, or UltiPro.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles including double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, and general ledger accounting.
- Familiarity with financial concepts related to payroll processing, benefits administration, and governmental reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software like QuickBooks or similar financial tools; experience with HRIS systems is highly desirable.
- Excellent data entry skills with high accuracy (10 key typing); ability to perform account reconciliation efficiently.
- Understanding of tax regulations and experience handling tax-related payroll processes.
- Strong analysis skills for identifying issues within payroll or financial data; ability to perform journal entries and bookkeeping tasks confidently.

Pay: $26.60 - $32.03 per hour
