Position Overview
The Part-Time Payroll Analyst will support the multi-state payroll for a large hourly population. The ideal candidate has supported high-volume hourly populations, specifically in Workday. The position is remote and expected to start mid-July.
Responsibilities Of The Part-Time Payroll Analyst
- Process payroll accurately and on time by reviewing employee hours, earnings, deductions, bonuses, commissions, and other payroll-related data.
- Analyze and reconcile payroll data to identify discrepancies, resolve errors, and ensure compliance with company policies and payroll regulations.
- Maintain payroll records and reporting by preparing payroll reports, auditing payroll transactions, and ensuring employee records are accurate and up to date.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax laws, wage-and-hour regulations, and internal policies.
- Collaborate with HR, Finance, and employees to answer payroll-related questions, resolve payroll issues, support audits, and implement payroll process improvements.
Required Experience/Skills For The Part-Time Payroll Analyst
- Experience with Workday is required.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong knowledge of payroll laws, wage and hour regulations, payroll taxes, and compliance requirements.
- 5 years of experience in payroll processing or payroll administration
Preferred Experience/Skills For The Part-Time Payroll Analyst
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC
- Experience with payroll audits, reconciliations, and payroll tax reporting.
- Knowledge of HRIS systems and integration between HR, payroll, and accounting platforms.
Education Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
