Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Retirement Plan Administrator to oversee the administration of our organization’s retirement plans. In this vital role, you will ensure the accurate and compliant management of employee retirement benefits, coordinate with various stakeholders, and maintain seamless operations within our HR systems. Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day administration of retirement plans, including processing enrollments, contributions, distributions, and plan changes using systems such as Workday and Oracle HCM.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations related to retirement plans, including ERISA, IRS guidelines, and other applicable laws.
- Collaborate with payroll teams to accurately process contributions and ensure proper integration with payroll systems like ADP, Paylocity, or SAP SuccessFactors.
- Maintain detailed records of plan activities, participant data, and regulatory reporting requirements while safeguarding confidential information in accordance with HIPAA and HR legal compliance standards.
- Respond promptly to employee inquiries regarding retirement benefits, plan options, and related policies through effective communication skills.
- Conduct data collection and analysis for audits, regulatory filings, and internal reporting to support transparency and compliance efforts.
- Coordinate with external vendors or third-party administrators to facilitate smooth plan operations and resolve any discrepancies or issues efficiently.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in benefits administration with a focus on retirement plans; familiarity with FMLA, Workers' Compensation, and employment & labor law is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of HR systems such as Workday, UltiPro, Lawson, or Ceridian; experience with HRIS platforms is essential.
- Proficiency in payroll management systems like ADP, Paylocity, or Oracle HCM; understanding of payroll systems integration is required.
- Excellent data analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex information accurately for regulatory reporting and audits.
- Familiarity with health insurance knowledge, HR compliance standards including HIPAA regulations, and benefits administration best practices.
- Effective communication skills for employee orientation sessions, training & development initiatives, and resolving employee relations issues related to retirement benefits.
- Ability to handle confidential information discreetly while maintaining high levels of accuracy in recordkeeping.
- Strong negotiation skills for working with vendors or third-party administrators when necessary.
