We are seeking a Sr. Workday Developer to support the design, configuration, and delivery of Workday HCM solutions across the full implementation lifecycle. This role requires strong functional expertise across core HCM domains, the ability to translate business requirements into system configurations, and hands-on involvement in testing, data migration, and integrations.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end Workday HCM implementations, including design, configuration, testing, deployment, and post-go-live.
- Gather and translate business requirements into scalable Workday configurations across modules such as Payroll, Core HCM, Benefits, and Integrations.
- Configure and demonstrate solutions using prototype environments.
- Perform and support testing activities, including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing.
- Ensure awareness of downstream system impacts during configuration, data changes, and releases.
- Support data migration efforts, including conversion from legacy HRIS or ERP systems.
- Collaborate with integration teams to configure and validate integrations with third-party and internal systems.
- Work within Agile delivery frameworks, contributing to sprint planning, execution, and delivery cycles.
Must-Haves
- 8+ years of experience implementing Workday HCM solutions.
- Strong expertise in Core HCM, Payroll, Benefits, and Integrations.
- Hands-on experience with testing (unit, integration, UAT) and understanding of downstream system impacts.
- Experience supporting data migration and conversion from other ERP/HRIS platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft, ADP, UKG).
- Experience working in Agile environments (e.g., 2-week sprint cycles).
- Strong business analysis skills, including requirements gathering and stakeholder communication.
- Prior experience in a consulting or client-facing delivery environment.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience with additional Workday modules such as Recruiting, Compensation, or Reporting.
- Familiarity with Workday Prism Analytics or AI-related capabilities within Workday.
- Experience supporting multiple concurrent HCM implementations.
- Workday certifications.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
