A Workday Data Conversion Consultant is responsible for planning, extracting, cleansing, transforming, validating, and loading legacy HR, payroll, finance, or talent management data into the Workday platform during implementation or migration projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze source system data and define data conversion requirements.
Extract, clean, transform, and map data from legacy systems to Workday data structures.
Prepare and load data using Workday Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB) and other Workday loading tools.
Conduct data validation, reconciliation, and quality assurance activities.
Collaborate with business stakeholders, functional consultants, and technical teams to resolve data issues.
Develop conversion strategies, mapping documents, and data load schedules.
Support testing cycles, mock conversions, cutover activities, and go-live readiness.
Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance with organizational policies.
Required Skills:
Experience with Workday HCM, Payroll, Finance, or Talent modules.
Strong knowledge of data migration and conversion methodologies.
Proficiency in Excel, SQL, data analysis, and data cleansing techniques.
Experience with EIB, Workday Studio, reports, and integrations.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to manage multiple data loads and meet project deadlines.
