Role: Workday Analyst
Location: Hybrid in Arden Hills, MN
Duration: ASAP - January 2027
Rate: $50-$65/hour W2, dependent on skills and qualifications
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Workday Analyst to support a large-scale Workday revitalization and optimization initiative. This individual will play a key role in assessing the current Workday environment, partnering with internal stakeholders and external consultants, and helping drive enhancements across Workday Recruiting and HCM.
The ideal candidate combines strong hands-on Workday configuration expertise with the ability to engage stakeholders, participate in requirements discussions, and recommend process and system improvements. This role requires someone who is analytical, collaborative, and comfortable operating in a change-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure, maintain, and optimize Workday Recruiting and HCM modules.
- Analyze the existing Workday environment and identify opportunities for process and system improvements.
- Support a Workday revitalization and transformation initiative focused on enhancing system effectiveness and user experience.
- Participate in requirements gathering sessions, workshops, and collaborative working meetings with business stakeholders.
- Partner with internal teams and external consulting partners to design and implement Workday solutions.
- Configure and optimize Workday Business Processes to align with business needs and best practices.
- Provide recommendations based on current-state assessments and future-state business objectives.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to stakeholders by translating business requirements into effective Workday solutions.
- Support testing, validation, and deployment activities associated with system enhancements and changes.
- Promote adoption of Workday best practices and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on Workday experience.
- Strong Workday configuration experience.
- Deep knowledge of Workday Recruiting and Human Capital Management (HCM).
- Comprehensive understanding of the end-to-end Workday Recruiting lifecycle and workflow.
- Experience configuring and optimizing Workday Business Processes.
- Ability to assess existing Workday environments and recommend improvements.
- Experience facilitating or participating in requirements gathering sessions and stakeholder workshops.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience translating business requirements into Workday solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting a Workday transformation, optimization, modernization, or revitalization initiative.
- Experience partnering with third-party Workday consulting organizations.
- Demonstrated success balancing stakeholder feedback while providing recommendations and alternative approaches.
- Knowledge of Workday best practices related to Recruiting and HCM process improvement.
- Experience working in complex, enterprise-level Workday environments.
