Role: Workday Integration Consultant
Location: Hybrid in Arden Hills, MN
Duration: 6 months
Rate: $50-$65/hour W2, dependent on skills and qualifications
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Workday Integration Consultant to support a dynamic HR Technology team within a complex Workday environment. This contract role will focus on a combination of integration project delivery, system enhancement initiatives, and ongoing production support.
The ideal candidate will bring strong hands-on experience designing, developing, and maintaining Workday integrations, with the ability to quickly understand an existing environment, provide technical recommendations, and contribute immediately. This position requires a highly collaborative professional who can balance new development work with ongoing operational support while partnering closely with internal stakeholders and technical team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, implement, and support Workday integrations across the enterprise ecosystem.
- Build and maintain both inbound and outbound integrations between Workday and external systems.
- Develop and maintain Workday reports, including Advanced Reports to support business and technical requirements.
- Analyze integration requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
- Support ongoing maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of existing integrations and reporting solutions.
- Participate in project-based integration initiatives while ensuring production support responsibilities are met.
- Collaborate with HR, IT, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions.
- Evaluate existing integrations and recommend improvements to increase efficiency, reliability, and scalability.
- Provide technical guidance and recommendations related to Workday integration architecture and best practices.
- Support testing, deployment, monitoring, and issue resolution activities across the Workday ecosystem.
Required Qualifications
- Strong hands-on Workday integration experience.
- Experience developing and supporting both inbound and outbound Workday integrations.
- Strong knowledge of Workday reporting and reporting frameworks.
- Advanced Report Writing experience.
- Experience using Workday integration and development tools.
- Solid understanding of the overall Workday integration ecosystem.
- Ability to manage both project-based development initiatives and ongoing maintenance/support activities.
- Proven ability to quickly learn and contribute within an established Workday environment.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Experience collaborating effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.

- Experience with Workday Studio.
- Experience with Workday Extend.
- Experience with Workday Orchestrate.
- Broad understanding of Workday's integration and development toolset.
- Experience supporting enterprise-level HR technology environments.
- Experience providing technical leadership and influencing solution direction.
