Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and Workday-certified HCM Consultant with expertise in Workday Core HCM, Compensation, and Advanced Compensation modules. The ideal candidate will have prior experience leading or supporting Workday implementations in the higher education sector, preferably for colleges or universities.
This is a 100% remote opportunity supporting a major Workday implementation and optimization project over a two-year period. You will play a key role in designing, configuring, testing, and deploying Workday solutions to meet the institution’s HR and compensation needs.
Responsibilities:
· Lead and support the design, configuration, and implementation of Workday HCM, Compensation, and Advanced Compensation modules.
· Collaborate with internal HR, IT, and project stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions tailored to the higher education environment.
· Participate in system integrations, testing (unit, integration, and UAT), data conversion, and go-live support.
· Assist with reporting and dashboard setup relevant to compensation and HR processes.
· Provide ongoing post-implementation support, enhancements, and optimizations.
· Ensure compliance with regulatory and institutional policies throughout the Workday solution.
· Conduct knowledge transfer and training sessions for end-users and internal teams.
Requirements:
· Minimum 3+ years of hands-on Workday experience in configuration and implementation.
· At least one full Workday implementation for a college or university (required).
· Strong understanding of higher education HR and compensation processes.
· Proven experience working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
· Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
· Ability to work independently in a remote team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Experience with Workday security, reporting, and integrations.
· Previous work with public or private colleges in the U.S.
· Workday Extend or Prism experience is a plus.
