Job Summary
Homeland has partnered with a company to hire an experienced Workday Implementation Workday HCM Project Manager for a 12-month, hybrid engagement in Dallas/Plano, TX. This position pays $50–$62/hour, depending on experience.
As a Workday HCM Project Manager, you will take the lead on internal project management for a full Workday HCM implementation, working closely with the System Integrator (SI) and internal teams to drive successful, on-time delivery.

Responsibilities
Project Leadership:
- Own the Workday implementation plan, timeline, and resource allocation
- Serve as the primary liaison between the System Integrator (SI) and internal teams
- Enforce project governance and change management processes
Stakeholder Management:
- Coordinate with HR, Payroll, Finance, IT, and executive sponsors
- Facilitate decision-making and escalate issues promptly
- Provide regular status updates to the CIO, PMO, and steering committee
Execution & Delivery:
- Manage RAID logs (Risks, Actions, Issues, Decisions)
- Oversee testing, training, and deployment activities
- Ensure a knowledge transfer plan is in place for post-go-live support
Financial Oversight:
- Monitor project budget and resource utilization
- Track SI deliverables and manage vendor relationships
Requirements
Experience:
- 5+ years of Workday HCM experience, including at least one full-cycle implementation
- 3+ years of enterprise project management experience
- Strong understanding of HR processes and systems
Skills:
- Proficiency in project management methodologies (PMBOK, Agile) and tools (Smartsheet, Jira)
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to influence without direct authority
Preferred:
- PMP certification or equivalent
- Workday Pro certified, ideally with a technical focus
- Experience with multiple Workday modules (Core HCM, Benefits, Payroll)
Competencies:
- Strategic thinking and governance discipline
- Strong risk management and problem-solving abilities
