Lead HR Operations Analyst Consultant (Workday)
Hybrid – Chicago (3 days onsite / 2 remote)
We’re seeking a Lead HR Operations Analyst with 6+ years of Workday HCM experience to support our client's global HR Operations team. This is a lead-level individual contributor role (no direct reports) focused on operational execution, data integrity, and mentorship.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as Workday HCM SME (business processes, EIB mass loads, org changes)
- Manage and triage Jira tickets; ensure SLA compliance
- Handle complex Tier 2 HR inquiries and confidential requests
- Run audits, reporting, and support regulatory compliance
- Lead testing for Workday releases and enhancements
- Mentor team members and foster operational excellence
- Drive process improvements across the employee lifecycle
Requirements
- 6+ years Workday HCM experience
- Strong HR Operations / HR Service Center background
- Experience with EIBs, reporting, and organizational restructuring
- Familiarity with Jira (or similar ticketing system)
- Advanced Google Workspace (or similar) skills
- High discretion and strong communication skills
Ideal candidate: A true Workday “super user” with HR Ops expertise who can step in as a team lead and drive continuous improvement.
