Senior Workday Financials Lead – 6-Month Contract
Hale International is excited to partner with a leading healthcare organization that are live with Workday Financials, HCM, and Adaptive. We are seeking an experienced Senior Workday Financials Lead for a 6-month contract to support a large-scale Financial Optimization initiative focused on reviewing, enhancing, and modernizing the existing Workday Financials environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a comprehensive Workday Financials optimization and health assessment initiative across the existing tenant.
- Partner closely with Finance and Accounting stakeholders to review current business processes, identify improvement opportunities, and recommend best practices.
- Support optimization and configuration activities across Core Financials modules, including General Ledger, Accounting, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Banking, Cost Allocations, Close, and Projects.
- Evaluate current tenant setup, business processes, and operational workflows to improve usability, automation, and reporting capabilities.
- Drive discovery sessions, gather business requirements, and translate operational needs into scalable Workday Financials solutions.
- Support change management and stakeholder alignment across teams with varying levels of openness to process improvements and system enhancements.
- Assist with ongoing troubleshooting, process refinement, and post-optimization support activities as needed.
Required Experience:
- Minimum of 7+ years of hands-on Workday Financials experience within enterprise environments.
- Strong expertise across Core Financials modules, including GL, AP, AR, Banking, Accounting, and Projects.
- Proven experience conducting Workday tenant health checks, optimization reviews, or system assessments.
- Strong hands-on Workday Financials configuration and business process optimization experience.
- Prior experience supporting healthcare or highly regulated environments is strongly preferred.
- A background in Accounting or Finance is highly beneficial.
- Ability to partner effectively with Finance leadership, operational stakeholders, and technical teams.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience navigating change-resistant environments.
