Senior Benefits Analyst
Location: New York (Jamaica), NY (REMOTE)
Overview
We are seeking a Senior Benefits Analys to support the day-to-day operations, reporting, audit oversight, and compliance execution of our health and welfare benefits programs across a multi-state and international workforce (Bahamas).
This is a hands-on individual contributor role focused on data accuracy, billing reconciliation, Workday reporting, compliance execution, and issue resolution. The ideal candidate is highly detail oriented, technically strong in Workday, and experienced in auditing benefits data.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and audit benefits transactions (enrollments, life events, terminations) processed through Workday.
- Assist in the administration of employee benefit programs such as medical, dental, vision life insurance, disability, voluntary benefits, and wellness initiatives.
- Own monthly carrier billing reconciliation and payment, including discrepancy identification and resolution.
- Build and maintain benefits reporting.
- Partner with HRIS to validate benefit system configuration and troubleshoot problems, within the Workday platform.
- Partner closely with Human Resources to ensure consistent administration and application of benefits processes across all locations.
- Collaborate with Human Resources to ensure accurate communication, reporting and resolution of employee benefits matters.
- Support open enrollment execution, including system validation and reporting.
- Serve as the day-to-day primary contact for carriers including COBRA vendors.
- Respond to employee questions regarding benefit plans, eligibility, and claims.
- Partner with Human Resources Business Partners to support benefits processes across locations.
- Ensure consistent administration of the benefits program across multi-state and Bahamas population.
- Ensure operational compliance with ERISA, ACA, COBRA, and HIPAA requirements.
- Audit and validate eligibility and enrollment data used for ACA reporting.
- Oversee COBRA administration accuracy, including qualifying event tracking and notice timelines.
- Support the Form 5500 data preparation and audit requests as applicable.
- Maintain documentation and audit trails for all benefits processes.
- Monitor multi-state compliance requirements and coordinate with vendors as needed.
Qualifications
- 3 - 5+ years of benefits administration experience
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or closely related field
- Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS®) preferred.
- 3 - 5+ years of hands-on experience with Workday Benefits to include reporting and vendor EDI feeds.
- Proven experience with billing reconciliation, reporting, auditing, and compliance execution
- Experience supporting multi-state populations (Bahamas experience a plus)
- Strong understanding of ERISA, ACA, COBRA, and HIPAA compliance

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents, such as policy and procedure manuals and other related documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries from other Team Members or guests. Fluency in English required. Ability to write detailed instructions and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
Mathematical Skills & Reasoning Ability
Ability to compute complex mathematical calculations. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Ability to decipher various reports and maintain reports upon request with strong decision-making and problem-solving skills. Ability to work well under pressure and deadlines.

- While the position is remote, the Team Member must be able to work East Coast hours.

Travel
Must be able to travel, including overnight stays, as needed. Must be able to travel internationally to the Bahamas.
License
Must be able to obtain and maintain a New York Gaming License.
