Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Payroll Manager to lead our payroll operations and ensure accurate, timely compensation processing across our organization. Duties
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing using systems such as Workday, ADP, Paychex, UltiPro, Kronos, or Ceridian, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Oversee data entry of employee hours, benefits administration details, tax information, and other payroll-related data into various financial and HRIS (Human Resources Information System) platforms.
- Reconcile payroll accounts regularly through general ledger reconciliation, account analysis, and journal entries to ensure financial accuracy.
- Collaborate with HR and accounting teams to process benefits administration, benefits deductions, and compliance with governmental reporting requirements.
- Maintain comprehensive records of payroll transactions including debits & credits, accounts payable/receivable entries, and tax filings.
- Conduct audits of payroll data for discrepancies or errors; perform account reconciliation to ensure consistency across systems.
- Prepare detailed reports on payroll expenses, tax liabilities, and other financial metrics for internal review and external audits.
- Support non-profit accounting activities by managing specialized payroll procedures aligned with nonprofit standards when applicable.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws related to payroll processing; stay updated on relevant regulations affecting payroll management.
Experience
- Proven experience managing payroll functions within a corporate or nonprofit environment using software such as Workday, ADP, Paychex, QuickBooks or similar platforms.
- Strong understanding of payroll management principles combined with knowledge of accounting software including General Ledger (GL) systems like PeopleSoft or UltiPro.
- Familiarity with HRIS systems for benefits administration and employee data management.
- Demonstrated ability to perform account reconciliation, journal entries, double entry bookkeeping, and technical accounting tasks related to payroll processing.
- Knowledge of governmental accounting standards and tax regulations impacting payroll operations is highly desirable.
- Excellent analysis skills with the ability to interpret financial data accurately while maintaining high attention to detail in data entry tasks such as 10 key typing and bookkeeping activities.

Pay: $74,475.73 - $89,691.21 per year
