We are seeking a detail-oriented and energetic Payroll Coordinator to manage and oversee payroll processes efficiently. In this role, you will ensure accurate payroll management, maintain compliance with relevant regulations, and support various HR and accounting functions. Your expertise in payroll software and financial concepts will be instrumental in delivering seamless payroll services that empower our organization to serve the community effectively. Duties
- Process payroll accurately and on time using systems such as Workday, ADP, Paychex, or UltiPro.
- Reconcile payroll data through account reconciliation and general ledger reconciliation to ensure accuracy.
- Maintain employee records related to benefits administration, tax compliance, and HRIS systems.
- Prepare journal entries related to payroll transactions, double entry bookkeeping, and debits & credits.
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions linked to payroll expenses.
- Support benefits administration processes, including enrollments and updates.
- Ensure compliance with governmental accounting standards and non-profit accounting practices where applicable. Qualifications
- Proven experience with payroll management using software such as Workday, ADP, Paychex, QuickBooks, or Ceridian.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles including general ledger accounting, journal entries, and account reconciliation.
- Knowledge of financial concepts related to payroll, benefits administration, and tax regulations.
- Proficiency in data entry with high accuracy; familiarity with 10 key typing is a plus.
- Experience working with HRIS systems like Kronos or PeopleSoft is preferred.
- Ability to analyze financial data effectively and communicate findings clearly.
- Background in corporate or non-profit accounting; governmental accounting experience is a bonus. Pay: $26.01 - $31.33 per hour
