Position Overview
An organization is seeking an experienced Assistant Vice President-level technology professional to support and advance its Workday platform. This role will lead Workday initiatives, manage cross-functional delivery efforts, and help improve system functionality across multiple Workday modules. The position requires strong Workday technical knowledge, project leadership experience, and the ability to partner with business and technology stakeholders.
Mandatory Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Finance, or a related business discipline.
- 5+ years of experience managing enterprise applications.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Workday.
- Strong knowledge of Workday product capabilities and module functionality.
- Experience with Workday integrations, including web services and APIs.
- Experience with Workday implementation, consulting, or business administration.
- Ability to support multiple stakeholders and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Workday-related projects from initial planning through delivery, ensuring timelines, scope, and business objectives are met.
- Manage Workday upgrades, system enhancements, and new module implementations.
- Configure, test, and deploy updates across Workday modules, including HCM, Financials, Talent Management, and Recruiting.
- Support the rollout of Workday capabilities across different business functions.
- Partner with business, technology, and operational teams to gather requirements and convert them into scalable Workday solutions.
- Oversee integrations between Workday and other enterprise platforms to maintain reliable data exchange and process continuity.
- Monitor platform stability, performance, and user experience.
- Support strategic Workday initiatives, including reporting improvements, platform adoption, and broader program management activities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of enterprise application management experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of direct Workday experience.
- Strong understanding of Workday functionality across relevant modules.
- Technical experience with Workday integrations, APIs, and web services.
- Background in Workday implementation, administration, or consulting.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Workday HCM, Financials, Talent Management, and Recruiting modules.
- Familiarity with Azure tools.
- Experience with data visualization or data analytics platforms.
- Prior experience supporting enterprise-wide platform adoption or reporting rationalization initiatives.
- Experience working in a complex, cross-functional technology environment.
