This is not a traditional Workday configuration role.
We're looking for someone who can facilitate conversations, challenge assumptions, connect dots across functions, and help clients think beyond today's requirements.
The ideal candidate understands Workday configuration and design deeply but doesn't stop there. They can translate business goals into scalable solutions, identify downstream impacts before they become problems, and provide thoughtful recommendations—not simply execute requests.
This person is equally comfortable leading a strategic discussion with HR leadership as they are reviewing a business process, testing a configuration, or troubleshooting a complex issue.
What You'll Do
Consult and Advise
- Lead discovery and requirement sessions with HR and business leaders
- Help clients uncover what they truly need — not just what they initially ask for
- Offer thoughtful guidance on solution options, tradeoffs, and best practices
- Build trusted advisor relationships that go well beyond the project — because at Brillect, we're connected for life
Design and Solution
- Translate business requirements into scalable Workday solutions
- Lead design discussions across Core HCM, Talent, Recruiting, Security, Reporting, and related areas
- Think beyond immediate needs to ensure solutions support long-term growth
- Identify downstream impacts and potential pitfalls before they become problems
Configure and Deliver
- Lead and support Workday configuration activities
- Participate in testing strategy, test execution, defect resolution, and deployment readiness
- Validate that system designs meet business requirements and deliver the intended employee experience
- Troubleshoot issues and recommend practical improvements
- Support clients through implementation, optimization, and transformation efforts
Connect the Dots
- Partner across HR, IT, Finance, Payroll, and external vendors
- Translate between business, Workday, and implementation partner language
- Keep decisions are aligned across workstreams and stakeholders
- Help clients balance what they need now with what will serve them well later
What We're Looking For
Experience
- 5-7+ years of Workday functional consulting or concentrated HR technology experience
- Deep understanding of Workday Core HCM and related functional areas
- Experience leading requirements, design, configuration, testing, and deployment activities
- Ability to understand configuration impacts and cross-functional dependencies
- Exposure to integrations, reporting, security, or additional Workday modules is a plus
