Own the Integrations Behind a Global Workday Financials Implementation
We're looking for an experienced Workday Financials Integration Engineer to join a global technology organization during a major Workday Financials implementation.
This is an opportunity to take meaningful ownership of complex financial integrations supporting multiple global entities and financial systems. You'll partner directly with Finance, Accounting, and technical teams to understand business requirements and design, build, test, deploy, and support integrations that keep critical financial data moving accurately and securely.
This isn't a narrowly defined development role. We're looking for someone who understands both the technical side of Workday integrations and the financial data behind them and is comfortable independently driving solutions from requirements through production.
What You'll Do
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and support Workday Financials integrations from end to end
- Build integrations using Workday Studio, EIB, Web Services/APIs, XML, and XSLT
- Develop and support integrations involving financial data such as General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), supplier payments, banking, and related financial transactions
- Build and maintain Workday Financials reports and data extracts used by Finance and downstream systems
- Partner directly with Finance and Accounting stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into scalable technical solutions
- Support data conversion, transformation, validation, encryption, and integration security
- Troubleshoot complex integration and data issues across Workday and third-party financial systems
- Own integrations throughout the full lifecycle—from requirements and technical design through testing, deployment, and post-go-live support
- Collaborate with a lean, highly engaged technical team supporting a growing global Workday Financials environment
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of Workday integration experience, with meaningful hands-on experience supporting Workday Financials
- Strong hands-on experience with Workday Studio and EIB
- Experience with Workday Web Services/APIs
- Strong XML/XSLT experience
- Solid understanding of the Workday Financials data model, including areas such as GL, AP, and AR
- Experience developing Workday reports and working with financial data
- Demonstrated ability to independently own end-to-end integration delivery
- Experience gathering technical requirements directly from business and functional stakeholders
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-moving environment with minimal day-to-day direction

Important Details
This position is onsite in Palo Alto, California, five days per week. The broader team works onsite, and in-person collaboration is an important part of supporting this complex implementation.
The initial assignment is approximately six months, with strong potential for extension based on performance and continued business need; extension is not guaranteed.
