Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Benefits Coordinator to join our Human Resources team. In this vital role, you will oversee the administration of employee benefits programs, ensuring seamless delivery and compliance with all relevant regulations. Your expertise will help foster a positive employee experience by managing benefits offerings such as health insurance, workers' compensation, and retirement plans, while maintaining strict confidentiality and accuracy. Responsibilities
- Administer employee benefits programs including health insurance, dental, vision, retirement plans, and workers' compensation, ensuring accurate enrollment and ongoing management.
- Utilize HR systems such as Workday, Oracle HCM, SAP SuccessFactors, or UltiPro to process benefits data, update records, and generate reports for regulatory compliance and internal analysis.
- Manage payroll integration with benefits administration to ensure accurate deductions and contributions using payroll systems like ADP, Paylocity, or Lawson.
- Maintain compliance with employment and labor laws including FMLA (Family and Medical Leave Act), HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act), and other HR legal requirements.
- Handle confidential information with integrity while supporting employee inquiries regarding benefits options, eligibility, and claims processes through clear communication.
- Collaborate with external vendors and insurance providers to negotiate contracts, resolve issues, and optimize benefits offerings for employees.
- Support onboarding processes by providing employee orientation on benefits programs and assisting with new hire data collection in HRIS platforms such as PeopleSoft or Ceridian.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in benefits administration or human resources with a strong understanding of HR compliance standards.
- Proficiency in HR systems such as Workday, Oracle HCM, SAP SuccessFactors, or UltiPro; familiarity with payroll systems like ADP or Paylocity is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of health insurance plans, workers' compensation procedures, Medicare regulations, and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex benefits information clearly to employees at all levels.
- Strong data analysis skills for generating reports on benefits utilization and compliance metrics.
- Ability to handle sensitive information discreetly while maintaining high levels of confidentiality.
- Familiarity with employment & labor law principles including FMLA regulations and HR legal compliance standards.
