Job Summary
The Total Rewards & Payroll Analyst to oversee our compensation, benefits, and payroll operations. The Total Rewards & Payroll Analyst will play a critical part in attracting and retaining top talent by ensuring our compensation and benefits programs remain competitive, equitable, and aligned with our business goals. Concurrently, the Total Rewards & Payroll Analyst will own the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant payroll delivery for all employees.
The Total Rewards & Payroll Analyst blends strategic thinking in rewards design and financial forecasting with the operational rigor required for flawless payroll execution and system management.
DUTIES OF THE POSITION
The duties of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:
Compensation & Benefits (Total Rewards)
- Program Administration: Administer and manage the company’s health, wellness, and retirement plans (e.g., medical, dental, vision, 401(k), life insurance).
- Market Benchmarking: Conduct regular market analysis and compensation benchmarking to ensure base pay, bonuses, and equity offerings remain competitive within our industry.
- Annual Cycles: Support the execution of the annual open enrollment process and manage the annual compensation review cycle (merit increases, bonus payouts).
- Vendor Support & Partnership: Partner with our benefits brokers and external vendors to support day-to-day plan administration, resolve complex administrative issues, and assist leadership in evaluating plan renewals.
- Employee Education: New hire onboarding and provide leadership with payroll related updates
Payroll Management & HR Financial Planning
- Full-Cycle Payroll Processing: Manage and execute bi-weekly/semi-monthly payroll for [exempt and non-exempt / multi-state] employees using [HRIS/Payroll System, e.g., ADP, Workday, Paylocity].
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Manage the overall HR, total rewards, and payroll budgets. Conduct regular forecasts to anticipate compensation trends, benefits costs, and payroll expenses.
- Finance Partnership: Collaborate closely with the Finance and Accounting departments on annual budget planning, workforce headcount forecasting, and tracking budget-to-actual variance throughout the year.
- Data Integrity & Auditing: Audit time-and-attendance records, new hire data, terminations, and compensation changes to ensure payroll accuracy before processing. Including managing quarterly over-time time analysis.
- Compliance & Tax Reporting: Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local wage and hour laws, payroll tax regulations, and reporting requirements.
- Garnishments & Deductions: Process and manage employee deductions, including benefits premiums, 401(k) contributions, garnishments, and tax levies.
- Reconciliation & Reporting: Provide post-payroll reporting, general ledger (GL) integration files, and month-end/year-end reconciliations (including W-2 processing).
- Ability to understand, speak, read and write English and Spanish
- Effectively speaking before groups of customers or employees
- Assume evolving duties and responsibilities of position
- Work all hours required to fulfill job duties and responsibilities (including, weekends, evenings and holidays as needed)
- Travel as required
- Provide coverage for other positions as requested
- Ability to carry and lift boxes and objects that may weigh between 10 and 25 pounds.

Compliance Responsibilities
In the performance of their duties, all Bci - Miami Branch staff members are required to comply all state and federal regulatory and legal requirements, including the Bank Secrecy Act, the Federal Election Campaign Act of 1979, the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, and the Bank Bribery Amendments Act. Additionally, all staff members must comply with in the Bci’s Personnel Manual and Code of Ethics and other policies of Bci which are either currently in place or which may become effective during the staff member’s employment.
Computer
PRE-HIRE REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION:
Ability to operate IBM compatible personal computers; fluency with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint and
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES:
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP), Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) is highly preferred.
Experience
- 5+ years of progressive experience in Human Resources, directly managing full-cycle payroll, supporting benefits administration, and handling financial forecasting/budgeting.
- Advanced proficiency in HRIS and payroll software (e.g., ADP Workforce Now, Workday, UKG) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, data modeling), including Power BI/Tableau and SAP.
- Deep understanding of FLSA, ERISA, ACA, and multi-state payroll laws.
