About the Role:
As a Centralized Expediter, you will be a key part of the sales support team, managing order logistics and communication with suppliers. You will focus on ensuring that all materials are ordered, tracked, and delivered accurately and on time. We are seeking a proactive individual who excels in self-motivation, time management, has strong communication skills, and strategic thinking skills. We are looking for someone who takes initiative and anticipates next steps without waiting for direction. This full-time, work-from-home position runs on a standard business schedule from 8 AM to 5 PM PST, offering a structured day and excellent work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Place and manage purchase orders for flooring, cabinetry, countertops, bath fixtures, and outdoor categories.
- Track order confirmations, delivery estimates, and shipping updates from vendors
- Maintain strong communication with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries
- Clear, concise, and promptly communicate critical updates to Account Managers and showroom staff
- Monitor and respond to shipping delays, order discrepancies, and product issues
- Collaborate with Account Managers, Sales Teams, Receiving, and Accounts Receivable departments
- Update internal systems with accurate order notes and timelines
- Assist in resolving invoice discrepancies with Accounts Payable
- Ensure procurement activities align with project deadlines and client expectations
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED required
- 1–2 years of procurement, order coordination, or vendor support experience (industry experience preferred)
- Knowledge of flooring, cabinetry, or building materials is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication—written and verbal
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Outlook)
- Previous work from home experience
- Ability to work independently from a home office
- Must adhere to a consistent 8 AM to 5 PM PST schedule, Monday through Friday
